by Pope Benedict XVI Whether you're a conservative Baptist, devout Catholic, or critical agnostic, the pope has a particular aura of clout that most people respect or at least wonder about to one degree or another. This is a book written by Joseph Ratzinger, a.k.a.The Pope and you should (and need) to read if you have an iota of interest in seeking the spiritual. The preface points out that today's Jesus has been dumbed down to a buddy and not the High Priest who came as God himself in flesh. Almost every page goes on to spark affirmations and enlightenments you've never realized. Regardless of religious affiliations or how long you've gone to church, after you read this book you will have a deeper relationship with God and will gain a certain ease knowing scholars still study for the right reason.
